Francis Ford Coppola will be presenting his new film Twixt at Comic-Con!

Francis Ford Coppola will be presenting portions of his upcoming film TWIXT at a panel discussion on Saturday, July 23 at Hall H. TWIXT stars Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning, and Ben Chaplin. Coppola describes the film as, “one part Gothic romance, one part personal film, and one part the kind of horror film that began my career.”

Coppola has a unique new approach to the presentation of the film that will incorporate live music by acclaimed independent performance artist Dan Deacon. Deacon will attend Comic-Con with Coppola to help demonstrate the interactive experience of the film. The film incorporates both 2-D and 3-D elements.

Like his most recent films, TWIXT follows three self-imposed mandates that Coppola requires in all of his new work: be his own original story and screenplay, have some personal element, and be self-financed. This particular story came to Coppola during a vivid dream he had while on a trip to Istanbul and is inspired by the writings of Edgar Allen Poe and Nathaniel Hawthorne. The film also brings Coppola back to his horror roots that began during his apprenticeship with Roger Corman.

On attending Comic-Con Coppola says, “I fondly recall meeting the Comic-Con audience years ago when I brought them my DRACULA film. That experience made me not want to miss this chance to return with TWIXT.”

ABOUT TWIXT
A writer with a declining career arrives in a small town as part of his book tour and gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a young girl. That night in a dream, he is approached by a mysterious young ghost named V. He’s unsure of her connection to the murder in the town, but is grateful for the story being handed to him. Ultimately he is led to the truth of the story, surprised to find that the ending has more to do with his own life than he could ever have anticipated.

Iconic Franchise Voltron® to Hold Its First-Ever Comic-Con Panel

River Song

The Pandorica
Legend has it that the Pandorica is a prison, a cage to contain the most feared warrior in the universe. But it is all a lie – the Pandorica is a box created to contain just one person – the Doctor. When his TARDIS exploded, all parts of time and space were wiped out, never having existed. The massed armies of all the Doctor’s foes – Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans and others banded together and created the legends of the Pandorica, and then locked him inside it. But the Pandorica energy was a restorative, it could bring things back to life, and the Doctor piloted the Pandorica into the heart of his exploding TARDIS and set off Big Bang 2, rebooting the entire universe.

Warner Bros. Reveals Limited Edition Hotel Room Keycards for Comic-Con

Warner Bros. Entertainment is throwing a key party at Comic-Con! The Studio has once again created a set of limited-edition collectible hotel keycards, which will be in use at top hotels throughout the San Diego area during the ’Con. This page is for ATTENDEES who are attending Comic-Con and wish to preorder Comic-Con exclusives now and pick them up at the show. If you are not attending Comic-Con, we will have a limited quantity of each exclusive available for sale here on our website beginning Tuesday, July 26.

Preorder and Pick Up Policy

PLACING AN ORDER
You can place your pre-orders via this secure website or by calling toll free within the U.S. and Canada 1-866-SHOP-AFX (746-7239). For customers outside the U.S. and Canada you can place your pre-orders via this website or by calling 1-818-935-5239.
PAYING FOR AN ORDER
You can pay for your pre-order via Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express and/or PayPal.Please note your credit card must be in your own name and the billing address must match the information associated with your issuing bank. If either your name or your billing address does not match, then your pre-order will be cancelled without further notice.
ORDERING MULTIPLES
Please read the details for each item as some items are extremely limited and therefore you will only be allowed to purchase a certain number of each exclusive item (per customer, household, credit card, user account, e-mail address, billing address and/or shipping address). All phone orders and online orders will be compared before the show, and multiple orders for the same items will be automatically cancelled without further notice. Any customers placing orders through multiple accounts will have excess orders canceled at the time of processing and will NOT be notified.
COUPONS AND DISCOUNTS
Because these are show exclusive items, we cannot accept any coupons or discounts. Any attempts to apply any discounts or coupons will NOT be honored and your order will be processed excluding discounts and/or coupons.
PICKING UP YOUR ORDER
After you place your order, you must pick it up yourself from our Booth #3345. You will receive a final invoice via e-mail at the time your payment method is processed. Please make sure your email address is up to date. You will need to provide a copy of this invoice (NOT your order confirmation you received when placing your order) as well as a photo ID that includes information matching your invoice before we will release the product to you. The Order Confirmation is emailed to you after you place your order online. The invoice is emailed to you after we have successfully processed your order (see below for order processing dates). This invoice is what you will need to bring along with your photo ID to pick up your order. Nobody else may pick up your order other than yourself. This includes your spouse, children, parents, grandparents, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, pets, etc.. No exceptions. You can pick up your order from 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 21 through 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. Pick ups are NOT allowed on Preview Night (Wednesday, July 20). Any orders not picked up by Noon on Sunday, July 24 will be canceled and sold to Comic-con attendees on a first come, first served basis.
PROCESSING YOUR ORDER
We will begin charging credit cards for the item(s) starting July 5, 2011. You will be e-mailed a final invoice once your order has been processed. You must bring this invoice to the show! Please do not confuse this invoice with your order confirmation, which you received immediately after placing your pre-order with us online. You must also bring a photo ID, along with your invoice, to pick up your product! If credit card is declined, you will be contacted via e-mail and have only one business day to contact us, during business hours Monday through Friday, with another form of payment. If we do not receive another payment method within that time frame, your order will be canceled without notification and your item(s) will be offered to a Wait List member. We will not be responsible for non-receipt of decline notices due to multiple e-mail addresses for you within our system, invalid e-mail addresses, or delays / spam blockages from your server / host / personal computer.
