Samurai’s Blood #2 (of 6) is written by Owen Wiseman with art by Nam Kim, Matthew Dalton and Jessica Kholinne.

Revenge should never be left to the young. As our three teenage samurai leave their ravaged home behind they search for ways to sustain themselves and execute their vengeance. Alpha Flight Relaunches

Writers Fred Van Lente and Greg Pak and artist Dale Eaglesham will be relaunching Alpha Flight on June 8th. This will be an eight-issue maxi-series. I assume Marvel is testing waters here, to see whether or not Alpha Flight can assume an on-going series.

Alpha Flight is Canada’s official superhero team and they’ve always butted heads with government officials in the old series and it looks like it will continue with this new series. The fascist Canadian government’s new team, Alpha Strike, are the new villains in this series and a couple of the original team side with the government!

The events in Alpha Flight will tie into Marvel’s Fear Itself crossover. Alpha Flight was created by John Byrne in 1979 in Uncanny X-Men #120. I’m looking forward to this new series as I always like John Byrne’s original series. Van Lente wonders how Byrne will like their take, and so do I.
