MTV will be geeking out from Comic-Con International in San Diego all weekend long, beginning on Thursday, July 18 with the highly-anticipated return of a Teen Wolf panel featuring all five series regulars and new cast members who play the twin Alpha werewolves, Max and Charlie Carver. Additionally, the network, along with MTV2MTV News and MTV Geek will be on the ground at Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, for the first-ever MTV2 Party in the Park. Open to all Comic-Con badge holders, the July 18 event celebrating the die-hard fans in attendance at Comic-Con will feature live music performances, free food and drinks and the taping of Guy Code Honors, a one-hour special starring the casts of Teen Wolf and MTV2’s Guy Code that premieres Sunday, July 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV and MTV2.

  • Guy Code - LogoGuy Code Honors (Airs Sunday, July 21, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT): The cast of MTV2’s hit show Guy Code geeks out for one special night, saluting the best movies and TV shows that wowed the inner sci-fi, thriller and fantasy fans in all of us this past year, while looking ahead to the titles destined for greatness in the year to come. Filmed from San Diego during the MTV2 Party in the Park, the hour-long special will feature performances, celebrity appearances and advance looks at major upcoming films, all while Guy Code cast favorites Jon Gabrus, Jordan Carlos, Damien Lemon and Chris Distafano break down which movies, shows, actors, heroes and heroines rocked the hardest.
  • MTV’s Comic-Con Live! (Thursday July 18 through Sunday, July 21): MTV News’ Josh and MTV Geek’s Steven will anchor MTV’s live streaming coverage of Comic-Con all weekend long, delivering hourly exclusive reveals of fans’ favorite shows and most-anticipated movies. MTV’s Comic-Con Live will feature interviews with the biggest names in movies, TV, comics and video games, while including comprehensive reports from the panels, the floor, the press rooms and the streets. Last year’s winner David Petersen (Mouse Guard) will be back to defend his crown against two new challengers. Creators are presented with a topic just a few weeks out from the convention and then develop original pitches that the fans vote on to determine the winner!
  • The Gloom - Tony Lee - Dan Boultwood - Manor Club Production - Carson Kane - MTV Comics - Arcana StudiosMTV Comics Premieres Graphic Novel The Gloom: The first graphic novel from MTV Comics premieres at Comic-Con! From acclaimed writer Tony Lee (Doctor Who, Starship Troopers), and artist Dan Boultwood via Arcana Studios, comes the adventures of The Gloom! MTV Invades the Big Apple, Bringing Monsters and the Best of Animation to New York Comic Con October 14 – 15

MTV will be bringing the all-new Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head, new animated comedy Good Vibes, and scripted horror-comedy series Death Valley to NY Comic-Con this year, with panels scheduled on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15.  Fans will be treated to exclusive first looks at upcoming episodes and clips from the series, along with autograph signings with the casts and cool free merchandise.  In addition, comics legend Stan Lee will join MTV Comics executive editor Tom Akel as they announce the winners of the talent search to write and illustrate “The Seekers.”

Join Beavis and Butt-Head creator and executive producer Mike Judge, along with moderator Luke Wilson (“Old School,” “The Royal Tennenbaums”), for a discussion about the legendary duo of “Beavis and Butt-Head’s” return to MTV, and to get a sneak peek of exclusive footage of the show.  The panel will take place on Saturday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m., in Room 1A10, and Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head premieres on MTV Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Mike Judge’s  “Beavis and Butt-Head”
In 1993, Mike Judge, creator of Beavis and Butt-Head, and MTV knocked their heads together and launched a cartoon series starring a couple of lunkheads and unwittingly started an animated pop culture revolution.  Now, Beavis and Butt-Head are coming back to MTV on Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT to unleash upon “Jersey Shore,” viral videos and more!  See footage from the new episodes, and join Mike Judge as he discusses the duo’s return to MTV!   Fans who attend the panel will receive some sweet “Beavis and Butt-Head” swag.

Good Vibes
This half-hour coming-of-age comedy follows transplanted Jersey boy Mondo (voiced by Josh Gad) and his best bud Woodie (voiced by Adam Brody) as they surf the biggest waves, hit the wildest parties and chase the prettiest girls in Play Del Toro – a colorful California beach community.  The all-star ensemble cast also features voice appearances by Debi Mazar as ‘Babs’ Mondo’s mom; Alan Tudyk as ‘Lonnie,’ a burnt-out but wise beach bum; Danny McBride as ‘Ms. Teets,’ a massively overweight and inappropriate human sexuality teacher; Olivia Thirlby as ‘Jeena,’ the beautiful girl of Mondo’s dreams; Jake Busey as ‘Turk,’ an obnoxious local surfer and bully; and Tony Hale as ‘Wadska,’ a charmingly nerdy and delusional friend.

The series was created by David Gordon Green (“Pineapple Express,” “Your Highness”) and is animated by Six Point Harness.  Executive producers include Green, as well as Tom Brady (“The Simpsons”), Tom Werner (“Roseanne,” “That 70’s Show”), Mike Clements (“Life and Times of Tim,” “Are You There Vodka, It’s Me Chelsea”) and Brad Ableson (“The Simpsons”).  Clay Spencer serves as the executive in charge of production for MTV.  “Good Vibes” premieres on MTV on Thursday, October 27 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

“DEATH VALLEY”
MTV’s horror-comedy Death Valley is a scripted series that follows the ‘Undead Task Force’ (UTF), a newly formed division of the LAPD, documentary-style, as they capture the monsters that roam the streets of California’s San Fernando Valley.  In a world where vampires, werewolves and zombies live freely, “Death Valley” is a fun, comedic non-stop thrill ride featuring chases, hardcore kills and bizarre encounters.  The series airs Monday nights at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

MTV Takes Comic-Con by Storm with Five Panels Featuring Werewolves, Zombies and a Butthead…

MTV roars into Comic-Con bringing four scripted series and an hour of MTV Comics to the convention this year, with a schedule that includes panels, press rooms and an autograph signing with the cast of “Teen Wolf.”

Johnny Knoxville (“Jackass”) will sit down with “Beavis and Butthead” creator Mike Judge for a one-on-one Q&A, and fans will be treated to an exclusive first look at scenes from all new episodes.

Celebrated horror film writer/director Wes Craven (“Scream,” “A Nightmare on Elm Street”) will talk to the cast and series producers of the new horror-comedy “Death Valley.”  Fans will be shown the world premiere this genre-busting series, along with a super tease of what’s to come this season.

“Teen Wolf” returns to Comic-Con with an exclusive look at highlights from future episodes, and a Q&A with the entire cast and producers.

From David Gordon Green, producer of “Pineapple Express” and “Eastbound & Down,” comes the new animated series “Good Vibes,” featuring voice talent including Adam Brody, Jake Busey, Tony Hale, Debi Mazar and Alan Tudyk.  Fans will also be the first to see an episode of the series, along with a clip showcasing upcoming scenes from the season.

The very first comic book based on the hit series “Teen Wolf” will be distributed and signed by the cast at the “Top Cow” booth on Saturday, July 23rd from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
