San Diego Food Trucks at Comic-Con!

Alright! The San Diego Food Trucks will be Downtown during Comic-Con! They also let us know that Warner Bros. and Disney will be doing something near their lot… Anyone know what they’ll be doing? Hmmm… Well here’s the Food Truck announcement below!

A “Food Truck Food Court” will be at San Diego Comic-Con this year!  Here are the details:

  • Location: The lot located at the 1st/Island/2nd/J lot.
  • When: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (some trucks will be there on Sunday but most won’t)
  • They will be selling from 10:00 am-10:00 pm, although most trucks will be gone by 8:00pm
  • The entrance will be off 1st Ave, right next to the Comedy Central interactive park.  Warner Bros. and Disney will also be doing projects in the lot.
  • Trucks scheduled to be there include: Chop Sooey, Patty Melt, Super Q, Asian Persuasion, Two For The Road, Devilicious, SD Street Eats, Flippin Pizza and Green Truck. This list may change!
  • Important note–there is NO public parking in the lot.

Captain America: The First Avenger to Open at Comic-Con!

Before it opens anywhere else in the world, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER will open first at Comic-Con. Convention goers in San Diego will be the first audience to see one of the summer’s hottest super heroes beginning at noon PST on Thursday, July 21st, 1-day ahead of its US opening. The movie will play exclusively at the UA Horton Plaza with Captain America-themed festivities happening throughout the day. To help kick-off the day, Paramount and Marvel will host an exclusive free fan screening at 10 A.M. with the movie’s star Chris Evans on-hand to introduce the screening.

In addition to being among the first to see the movie, all CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER ticketholders will receive RealD® 3D Collector’s Custom red, white and blue Captain America: The First Avenger glasses and a limited edition poster designed exclusively for the fans. A grand prize package of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER merchandise and other Marvel items will be given away to a select audience member at each screening. USO-costumed women will be standing at the American Flag Pole in Horton Plaza passing out free tickets every hour beginning at 11:00 A.M. to the first 10 people who come dressed as Captain America.

Show times for Captain America: The First Avenger are 12:00 P.M., 12:45 P.M., 2:45 P.M., 3:30 P.M., 5:30 P.M., 6:15 P.M., 8:15 P.M., 9:00 P.M., 11:00 P.M. and 11:45 P.M. Tickets for Thursday’s shows are available for purchase at Fandango.com.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, directed by Joe Johnston, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving). Comedy Central Celebrates SOUTH PARK’S 15th Anniversary — Year of the Fan Events at Comic-Con!

South Park” marks its 15th season this year. To celebrate, South Park, COMEDY CENTRAL and South Park Digital Studios will honor the fans that have turned the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series into a cultural phenomenon with a year-long celebration, marking 2011 as “The Year of the Fan.”

What better way to celebrate 15 amazing years of South Park, than by honoring the viewers that have made the iconic series such a long-running success, said Michele Ganeless, president, COMEDY CENTRAL. These all-encompassing South Park events will take the fans even deeper into the show, allowing them to experience it in every arena.

“The Year of the Fan” will bring viewers closer to “South Park” than they’ve ever been before, connecting them to the series in a multi-platform manner fitting for the heralded occasion, including: the Ultimate “South Park” Fan Experience at Comic-Con 2011 in San Diego; an upcoming documentary to air on COMEDY CENTRAL that takes fans behind-the-scenes of their favorite show; the introduction of Cheesy Poofs to a store near you, plus all-new never-before-seen South Park merchandise; and, an art exhibit curated by Ron English featuring interpretations of the series by the famed street artist and pop surrealist painter and 14 other hand-picked artists as well.   • A Voice of the Fan confessional booth where South Park will interview the fans about their favorite South Park moment, challenge them to sing the Cheesy Poof song or the South Park theme song. • “South Park” Documentary: Viewers will get an exclusive inside look into the making of a “South Park” episode. A documentary crew was given an all-access pass to Stone and Parker’s world at South Park Studios in Los Angeles. The documentary will air on COMEDY CENTRAL this fall. COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment will release the directors cut of the DVD in November with new footage and bonus episodes from the 15th season and fan-interactive opportunities.

• Cheesy Poofs: “South Parks” iconic snack will hit the market for a limited-run this fall in Wal-Mart stores nation-wide.

• New South Park Merchandise And In-Store Locations: To celebrate the Year of the Fan, we have expanded our merchandise and retail presence to include:

Unified by their love of the hit series and the passion they brought to their work, their art features the “South Park” characters and the iconic moments throughout the series history. The exhibit will also be displayed at the Ultimate “South Park” Fan Experience at Comic-Con.

• Fans voted on SouthParkStudios.com for the 15 best “South Park” episodes of all-time and shared their votes on Facebook, Twitter and blogs. Each week SouthParkStudios.com will host a “Fan’s Favorite Episodes” where one fan’s Top 15 list will be featured, along with his or her name and personalized “South Park” Avatar.

Bioware reveals plans for Comic-Con

Bioware  revealed that will be offering playable demos for Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2: Legacy DLC at the Hilton Gaslamp hotel. It seems that you might not need a Comic-Con pass to see the demos.

We will be at San Diego Comic-Con!! Come to the BioWare Base at the Hilton Gaslamp hotel to check out the Mass Effect 3 hands on demo and the never before seen Dragon Age 2 Legacy!!

BioWare will also be hosting the first ever BioWare Costume Contest on July 22. Mass Effect 3 will be released for the Playstation 3, Windows PC and Xbox 360 worldwide on March 6, 2012.
