Entertainment will present Extra at Comic-Con®, a free outdoor entertainment festival happening in San Diego’s Bayfront Park July 12–14 during Comic-Con International: San Diego. Bayfront Park is located between the San Diego Convention Center and the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel.

  • Located just steps from the Convention Center, Extra at Comic-Con will be a live, multi-day entertainment experience capturing all the excitement of the Studio’s fan-facing properties: From The Lord of the Rings to the DC Universe, they’re all here!

“Everyone at Warner Bros. Television approaches Comic-Con as a fan-first experience. ALL SIX BATMOBILES!

On display in “The Batcave”: all six Batmobiles from television and film! For the first time ever, Comic-Con fans will have the opportunity to see all of Batman’s iconic onscreen vehicles live and in person, from Adam West’s 1955 Lincoln Futura to the Tumbler from The Dark Knight trilogy.

  • Adam West’s 1955 Lincoln Futura. Designed by George Barris, this original Batmobile was featured in the cult classic television series and 1966’s Batman, the Movie.
  • Michael Keaton’s Batmobile from 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns. Sleek and powerful with a central turbine, the vehicles’ slightly retro design followed Tim Burton’s art deco look of the films.
  • Revamped for Joel Schumacher’s 1995 Batman Forever, with bat-lighting and extended fins, Val Kilmer’s hot rod had the ability to drive up walls.
  • Schumacher updated the Batmobile once again for George Clooney in 1997’s Batman & Robin. At 33 feet long and a top speed of 350 mph with afterburner thrust, this was the largest and fastest Batmobile on the road.
  • The Tumbler designed for Christopher Nolan’s 2005 Batman Begins and 2008’s The Dark Knight is the prototype military vehicle designed by the character Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman).
  • The unveiling of the replacement Camouflage Tumbler, to be seen in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises, in theaters and IMAX July 20.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS VIDEO GAME SHOWCASE

With anticipation mounting for Warner Bros. Pictures’ December 14, 2012, release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey motion picture, directed by Peter Jackson and a production of New Line Cinema and MGM, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is showcasing two upcoming games set in Middle-earth.

  • Fans can play hands-on with new video game Guardians of Middle-earth as characters including Gandalf, Sauron, Gollum, Thrain, Galadriel, Legolas and many more. This new multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game allows up to 10 players to engage in competitive matches. The game includes tie-ins with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey film. Tournaments will take place each evening, with prizes including custom-painted video game console systems and high-end gaming audio gear.
  • LEGO® The Lord of the Rings: 3D Street Art. From the creative minds at Planet Streetpainting comes a one-of-a-kind, LEGO The Lord of the Rings–inspired 3D street art design that will be created and on display for fans of all ages over the course of three days, July 13–15. Changes to Autograph Ticket System for Warner Bros. Signings at Comic-Con 2012!

Nearly 20 Series, Including The Big Bang Theory, Fringe, Supernatural,

and HBO’s Game of Thrones, Among Others

 New This Year: Ticket Drawings and Wristband Distributions to
Begin in the Morning on the Day of Signings in the Sails Pavilion,
Utilizing One Line for All Ticket Drawings for All Signings

Comic-Con and Warner Bros. announced today that the Studio will once again follow the official Comic-Con® International: San Diego ticket distribution system for autograph signings at Comic-Con 2012, with the Con implementing a new procedure for 2012. The Studio will present more than 20 signings at the booth this year, including TV and digital series, as well as motion pictures (see current signing dates below).

  • All signings will be held at the Warner Bros. booth, #4545 on the Comic-Con exhibition floor
  • For the second straight year, Warner Bros. will distribute wristbands for signings via daily ticket drawings held at the Sails Pavilion inside the San Diego Convention Center, under the long-standing Comic-Con system

NEW FOR THIS YEAR

  • For 2012, the following modifications will be in effect for the wristband line procedure:
  • All ticket drawings and wristband distributions for all signings will begin in the morning of the day of the specific signing, when the Sails Pavilion opens to attendees. Badged Comic-Con members can begin lining up as soon as the Sails Pavilion area opens to attendees. The ticket drawings will begin at 8:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter.
  • All of the drawings for all signings will now take place in one line on the morning of the signing
  • Advisory to fans and attendees: Lines will likely be much longer this year, and we appreciate your patience and understanding

Here’s how it works:

  • Fans identify the signing they want to attend
  • On the morning of the day of the signing they hope to attend, fans should arrive at the Sails Pavilion floor (between Ballroom 20 and Rooms 6A, 6BCF and 6DE) in the morning
  • Ticket distribution for Comic-Con’s random draw will begin when the Sails Pavilion opens to attendees. Badged Comic-Con members can begin lining up as soon as the Sails Pavilion area opens. The ticket drawings will begin at 8:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter.
  • A limited number of wristbands will be available for each signing, via Comic-Con’s random draw process
  • There will be one line for all drawings and signings. We appreciate your patience!
  • The random drawing will determine which fans receive wristbands granting access to each autograph line
  • Fans who obtain wristbands should arrive at the Warner Bros. booth 30 minutes before the signing to line up

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces the launch of The Vampire Diaries: Get Sucked In, a new game playable on Facebook. Based on the popular Warner Bros. Television series The Vampire Diaries – airing Thursdays 8/7c on The CW Network – the game is free and accessible for everyone to play.The Vampire Diaries: Get Sucked In extends the supernatural story of the TV series about two vampire brothers who fall in love with the same beautiful girl. Warner Bros. Releases First Photo of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman!

Warner Bros. has released the first pic of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman / Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises. This costume is definitely more practical than the previous costumes worn by Michelle Pfeiffer or Halle Berry. Her costume doesn’t seem to have any type of mask, ears, etc. Oh well, not a really good disguise if you ask me.

Anne’s outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies. She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it’s going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costumes. She’s going to look more like a robber….But fan boys shouldn’t be worried. This costume is going to be form-fitting enough to make Anne look smoking hot….Everything from the looks in her eyes, her head movements, her body–everything is so feline.

This photo below has Catwoman on a motorbike, which is similar to  previous ones used by Batman! They must go to the same dealer.

A First Look At The Man of Steel!

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have provided the first look at the new Man of Steel, revealing star Henry Cavill as Superman in the film from director Zack Snyder.

The film also stars three-time Oscar® nominee Amy Adams (“The Fighter”) as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Oscar® nominee Laurence Fishburne (“What’s Love Got to Do with It”) as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent’s adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Oscar® nominee Diane Lane (“Unfaithful”) and Academy Award® winner Kevin Costner (“Dances with Wolves”).

Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Oscar® nominee Michael Shannon (“Revolutionary Road”), and Faora, Zod’s evil partner, played by Antje Traue.

Also from Superman’s native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman’s mother, played by Julia Ormond, and Superman’s father, Jor-El, portrayed by Academy Award® winner Russell Crowe (“Gladiator”).Rounding out the cast are Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, as well as Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy.

“Man of Steel” is being produced by Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer, from a story by Goyer and Nolan, based upon Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster and published by DC Comics. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.

Currently in production, “Man of Steel” is slated for release on June 14, 2013 and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

San Diego Food Trucks at Comic-Con!

Alright! The San Diego Food Trucks will be Downtown during Comic-Con! They also let us know that Warner Bros. and Disney will be doing something near their lot… Anyone know what they’ll be doing? Hmmm… Well here’s the Food Truck announcement below!

A “Food Truck Food Court” will be at San Diego Comic-Con this year!  Here are the details:

  • Location: The lot located at the 1st/Island/2nd/J lot.
  • When: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (some trucks will be there on Sunday but most won’t)
  • They will be selling from 10:00 am-10:00 pm, although most trucks will be gone by 8:00pm
  • The entrance will be off 1st Ave, right next to the Comedy Central interactive park.  Warner Bros. and Disney will also be doing projects in the lot.
  • Trucks scheduled to be there include: Chop Sooey, Patty Melt, Super Q, Asian Persuasion, Two For The Road, Devilicious, SD Street Eats, Flippin Pizza and Green Truck. This list may change!
  • Important note–there is NO public parking in the lot.

Animation series on Cartoon Network, the studio has commissioned a replica Sword of Omens, Lion-O’s mythical weapon used in the series, to be given away to one lucky fan, exclusively at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2011.

  • Handcrafted by the artisan Dragon of Renegade Effects Group, this replica Sword of Omens is forged of aircraft aluminum (1/3 of what steel weighs – but just as tough!) and features a hand-carved eyepiece and ThunderCats logo.
  • Sword design taken directly from the drawings of the Warner Bros. Animation artists.
  • Visit the Warner Bros. booth (#4545) to find out how you could win the Sword of Omens.
  • In addition to this special prize, the Warner Bros. booth (#4545) will also be giving away free foam replicas of the Sword of Omens to fans on Friday, July 22, and Sunday, July 24.
  • A world premiere screening of ThunderCats at Comic-Con will take place on Friday, July 22, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 6A. Afterward the screening, join Larry Kenney (voice of Claudus, voice of Lion-O in the original series), Emmanuelle Chriqui (voice of Cheetara), producers Michael Jelenic and Ethan Spaulding, and art director Dan Norton will for a panel discussion on the series.
  • ThunderCats roars onto TV screens with an hour-long special premiere event on Friday, July 29, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network. Following the premiere, the show will air regularly on Cartoon Network Friday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, beginning August 5.
