ABC’s PAN AM Poster and Photos

The poster for ABC’s upcoming show Pan Am starring Christina Ricci is shown below. The show will premiere on September 25th at 10/9c.

Passion, jealousy and espionage… They do it all – and they do it at 30,000 feet. The style of the 1960s, the energy and excitement of the Jet Age and a drama full of sexy entanglements deliciously mesh in this thrilling and highly-original new series.

In this modern world, air travel represents the height of luxury and Pan Am is the biggest name in the business. The planes are glamorous, the pilots are rock stars and the stewardesses are the most desirable women in the world. Not only are these flyboys and girls young and good looking, but to represent Pan Am they also have to be educated, cultured and refined. They’re trained to handle everything from in-air emergencies to unwanted advances – all without rumpling their pristine uniforms or mussing their hair. There’s Dean (Mike Vogel) – a cocky, charismatic and ambitious new pilot – the first of a new breed not trained in the war. On the sly against company policy, he’s dating Bridget, a stunning beauty with a mysterious past. A rebellious bohemian, Maggie (Christina Ricci) turns into a buttoned up professional for work so she can see the world. Rounding out the crew are flirtatious Colette (Karine Vanasse), the adventurous Kate (Kelli Garner) and, finally, Laura (Margot Robbie) – Kate’s beauty queen younger sister, a runaway bride, who recently fled a life of domestic boredom to take to the skies.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

The Ultimate Blu-ray and DVD Experience Arrives on First Class Friday, September 9th

Before they were superheroes, the fate of humanity depended on an extraordinary group of youngsters who went on to become X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. Based on the international bestselling Marvel Comics franchise, this box office hit bursts onto Blu-ray and DVD Friday, September 9 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. For the first time ever, “X-Men” fans will have the power to choose a side between Professor X and Magneto with two versions of premium collectible Blu-ray packaging. Director Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake, Kick Ass) tells the true origins of the multi-billion dollar film franchise, guiding exceptional performances by Golden Globe®-nominee James McAvoy (Atonement), Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds), and Golden Globe®-winner Kevin Bacon (“Taking Chance,” Mystic River). A “rare movie event that balances an intelligent story with solid performances, first-rate action and top-of-the-line special effects” (Ben Lyons, E!), X-MEN: FIRST CLASS has drawn an impressive $150 million at the domestic box office and nearly $350 million worldwide.

Before Charles Xavier (McAvoy) and Erik Lensherr (Fassbender) took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time, working together to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. The film features a star-studded supporting cast, including Academy Award®-nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone), January Jones (“Mad Men”), Rose Byrne (28 Weeks Later), Zoë Kravitz (“Californication”), Nicholas Hoult (A Single Man), Lucas Till (Walk the Line), and Emmy Award®-nominee Oliver Platt (“The West Wing”).

Hasbro’s Marvel Universe Sentinel Unveiled for Comic-Con!

Okay, I have been holding off posting pictures of Hasbro’s Marvel Universe Masterworks Sentinel for months now… I had good reason to hold off I guess. I had photos of the regular version of the Sentinel that will hit stores later this year while Hasbro has just released the San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive photos. I’ll show you both so you can see the differences. This towering figure comes in at a nice 18″ tall. You can pick one up at the Hasbro Toy Shop Booth (#3329) at Comic-Con next week.

The box features art by Joe Quesada and the Sentinel has eyes that light up and has sound effects. I am going to assume it will cost approximately $55 as they have not revealed the pricing of them yet. It was insane to try to get the Comic-Con Exclusive Galactus last year. I got there a couple of minutes too late and decided NOT to go on the secondary market to get one. Good luck in obtaining the Sentinel at Comic-Con. I will be in line with everyone else!

Here’s what I was working with and held on to without posting for a LONG time…

These are the images below that Hasbro released just recently…

Leave a comment if you like… I’m always interested in what you have to say. Thanks!
